This new form of music later became known as “Southern Rock” and was filled with style and emotion. Artists at the forefront of Southern Rock were bands such as the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Within the new genre of music emerged a band from Jacksonville, Florida called Molly Hatchet .
